Sweet and Spicy Delight: Honey Sriracha Salmon

Here at Grazen Meat Co., we are always on the lookout for creative and delicious ways to enjoy fish dishes. Being in the PNW, we tend to eat salmon weekly, so today, we have a special recipe for all the salmon lovers out there – Honey Sriracha Salmon. This dish combines the perfect balance of sweet and spicy flavors along with pickled veg, making it a crowd-pleaser for any occasion. Not to mention, it's packed with protein, healthy fats, and a variety of nutrients to keep you feeling satisfied and energized while also remaining on the lighter side, making it the perfect meal on a warm summer evening. Feel free to customize this dish by adding your favorite veggies or adjusting the spice level to suit your taste preferences. Give this recipe a try and impress your family and friends with a restaurant-quality meal made right in your own kitchen!

You will need:

  • 2 Salmon Filets

  • 1 Cup of Uncooked Long-Grain Rice

  • 1 Half Cucumber

  • 1 Cup Shredded Carrots

  • 1 Cup Edamame (we found a package in the frozen food aisle)

  • 2 Cups Red Wine Vinegar Divided

  • 1/4 tsp Garlic Powder

  • 1/2tsp Minced Ginger

  • 1 Tbsp Lemon Pepper

  • 1 Tsp Salt

  • Choice of Cooking Oil (we used grapeseed oil)

  • Sesame Seeds and Chopped Green Onions for Garnish (optional)

  • 1 Avocado (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven to 300°F (149°C)

  2. Start your rice - everything else is finished while the rice is cooking.

  3. Whisk the honey and sriracha in a bowl

  4. Sprinkle the garlic powder, ginger, lemon pepper, and salt evenly onto the salmon

  5. Heat the pan on medium with a touch of your favorite cooking oil. Once hot and ready, place salmon skin side down for 3 to 4 minutes then brush with the honey\siricha and finish in the oven for approximately 6 minutes (oven heat can vary)

  6. pickle your carrots and cucumber separately in 1 cup of red wine vinegar each.

  7. Thaw edamame in warm water

  8. Cut and slice avocado

  9. Sprinkle the sesame seeds and chopped green onions right on top

  10. Plate, serve, and enjoy!
